Triphala Churna – Ingredients | Formation | Dosage & Benefits

Triphala Churna is a combination of three Ayurvedic herbs. The mixture of the powder of these three fruits is called Triphala.

Triphala Churna Ingredients

  1. Amla (Phyllanthus emblica) – 50 g
  2. Harad (Terminalia chebula) – 50 g
  3. Bahera (Terminalia bellirica) – 50 g

Triphala Churna Formation

  • Throw away the kernels of Amla, Harad and Bahera.
  • Powder is made by mixing the peels of new Amla, big new juicy Harad and perfect Baheda.
  • Make a fine powder by taking all the three fruits in equal quantity, then put in a glass bottle.


Dosage of Triphala Churna

1 – 3 grams with twice in a day & or advised by expert Ayurveda Doctor.

  1. Take with honey and ghee in cough.
  2. Intake with Peepal and honey in new slow fever.
  3. Take with milk in fourth degree fever.
  4. Take with Honey or honey mixed water in Medrog.
  5. Mixing the powder of Kutki in Triphala Churna and giving it with luke warm water in the sternum related diseases.
  6. Consuming it with ghee and honey in eye diseases stops the growing cataract.
  7. Give with the swaras of Giloy on Shanaimenh.
  8. Turmeric and twice as much sugar as Triphala powder on all kinds of Prameh (Gonorrhea).
  9. Give Triphala, Amaltas pulp and honey on Fenmeha (slightly frothy urine), intake with Munakka kwath.
  10. Intake With cow urine in vrsanasotha (Orchitis– an inflammation of one or both testicles)
  11. Give With the Kwath of Khadir bark in Bhagandar (Fistula).
  12. Intake with honey in Murcha (fainting diseases).
  13. Mixing Nisot’s powder and ghee in Triphala’s Kath and give in gall bladder diseases.
  14. If you do not get sleep due to swelling in joints, then mix honey in decoction of Triphala (Triphala kwath) and give.


Triphala Churna Benefits

  • Triphala Churna is very useful in gonorrhea, inflammation, constipation, cold, typhoid, blood disorders, seminal defects, phlegm, bile and leprosy.
  • By consuming it, fire is ignited and stool is clean. Eating with ghee and honey cures sensory poisoning and eye diseases caused by bile disorders. In chronic disease, it should be consumed in small quantity for a long time.
  • Many wonderful properties are present in this Triphala Churna. These are Deepan, Ruchikar, Chakshushya, Rasayana, Age-establisher, Vrishya, Sarak, Hridya and Brihan.
  • Its mention is found in many classical texts. In the Charaka Samhita, Triphala has been called Rasayana, and it is written that ‘the person who consumes Triphala with ghee and honey regularly, remains healthy and lives a life of 100 years.’

Note

  • Old, dull and defective Harad etc. or old pow r does not give proper benefits and the bark extracted from Harad kernels comes in the market, it contains more Tannic acid, its use If done in Triphala powder, one does not get proper benefits.
  • In chronic constipation sufferers, if the main objective is to open and expel the old feces, if Deep-pachan (Digestion) is secondary, then adding small raw Harad is particularly beneficial.
  • Half-ripe Harad which is high in Tannic acid, its use does not give proper benefit. Big Harad should be taken for Deepan-Pachan and Sarak work (Ecchymosis – Blood or bleeding under the skin due to trauma of any kind; typically black and blue at first, with colour changes as healing progresses) and small Harad should be mixed when the main requirement of Sarak properties.
